- Shut off the water at the main valve if you can do it safely.
- If water is near outlets or electronics, turn off power to that area at the breaker, but only if you can reach it without stepping in water.
- Move rugs, furniture, and anything valuable off the wet floor.
- Take photos for your insurance company.
